1. The pricing model is shaped differently, not just priced differently

BabelBot sells one flat number per server: Free, Pro at €10/month, Ultra at €19.99/month, or a €199 one-time Founder Access plan. 2. What "unlimited free" includes after your AI quota runs out

BabelBot's free tier falls back, after its AI allowance (100 trial translations, then 50/month), to what its own site calls an "in-house translator" for a listed set of supported languages rather than cutting the server off. BabelBot's own FAQ ties AI translation specifically to handling "slang, mixed-language messages, and context," and its AI-vs-basic-translation comparison page states that "context-aware LLM translation can cost more than basic machine translation" - without ever naming the fallback engine or stating whether that quality holds once a server drops onto it. Worth checking against your own traffic before treating "unlimited free" and "unlimited free at the same quality" as the same claim. 3. What happens to the channel past two configured languages

BabelBot's default delivery (reply or thread) posts every configured target language as one message visible to the whole channel, regardless of who reads which language - and its pricing page allows up to 10 target languages on Ultra. At ten languages, every original message is followed by ten translations for every reader. Pigona separates "should this be translated" from "who should see it": Reactive Translation is private and per-person, Translation Bridge is on-demand via buttons, Relay Channels send translations to a separate per-language channel via webhook, and Autonomous Translation can carry an optional delete timer.
