Discord Role Color Previewer
Pick a HEX color and see how it looks as a Discord role on the default themes, with approximate previews of the Nitro themes. Check the contrast before you set your role color.
Why preview your Discord role color?
A role color that looks fine as a swatch can be hard to read once it is a username in chat: too light for the Light theme, or too dark for the dark ones. This tool renders your color in a Discord-style chat preview, so you can check it before you set it. The four default themes use their own background colors; the Nitro and custom themes are approximations, because Discord paints those as a gradient across the whole window.
What this tool shows you
- Default Themes - your color as a username in chat and as an @role mention on the Light, Ash, Dark and Onyx themes
- Nitro Color Themes - the same preview on 23 Nitro color themes, approximated from their gradients
- Custom Theme - an approximate custom Nitro gradient, built from two colors, an intensity and an angle
- Contrast Accessibility - the WCAG contrast ratio of your color against each default theme, the selected Nitro theme and your custom theme
- Color Details - the HEX, RGB and decimal value of your color; bots and the Discord API take the decimal value
